I am an artist, a teacher, and a graphic designer based in Brooklyn, NY. I divide my time between making mixed-media collages, finger painting with kids, and designing super-sassy business cards. My artwork is quite whimsical and aims to capture the world that lives inside my head.

Some of my favorite artists are Dr. Seuss, Gustav Hundertwasser, Antoni Gaudi, and Brian Andreas, who share a childlike quality in their work. Children are my favorite artists and I believe that all adult artists are striving to get back to a childlike state through art. I know that I am.

I have been an art teacher since 1998 and am passionate about my work with children. At Habitot Children’s Museum in Berkeley, California, I ran the drop-in art studio for many years and taught art classes such as “Mixed Media Mania." I also taught art classes at various schools and art centers in the Bay Area before moving to Brooklyn in 2009.

I have a BA in Anthropology and Sociology from Goucher College in Baltimore, Maryland and an Associates Degree in Graphic Design from the Academy of Art University in San Francisco, California. Ultimately my goal is to spend my life creating in as many ways as possible and to get children so excited about art that they will want to do the same.
